French Original shares powerful electro-pop 'Souvenir' EP

Electro pop and dance music's fastest growing visionary, French Original, has just released his new four-track EP Souvenir, which features the project's focus track “Little White Lies.”

French Original's spotlight followed after co-writing with Italian Superstar trio Meduza on their hit “Born To Love.” He has since gone on to co-sign with dance musics heavyweights deadmau5, Oliver Helden, Major Lazer and more. The EP is colourful, bold and ecstatic with its powerful synths, baselines and impressive vocals.

Hailing from Cannes, France, French Original spent his early years busking at Cannes Film Festival hoping to find attention from movie stars and celebrities on the red carpets. His relentless passion for music making has brought him to become one of the finest and fastest growing within the pop/electronic music scene. Souvenir demonstrates just what his hard work has come to — a powerful expression through explosive electronic sounds blended with tech-house traditional drum sounds which push the EP towards a music scene that is blossoming.

The EP begins with "Stay," a heavily produced electronic track with expressive and catchy vocals. From first listen, it’s easy to see the inspirations behind this record which have played a large part in its result. Justin Timberlake styled vocals cross with a Daft Punk-like approach which draws up a powerful and ambitious yet unique sound. It’s a step up from his previous single "History," which had sent a blast across the dance music scene. The track "Little White Lies" on the EP presents a more ambitious twist for the French producer and resonates with a completely new crowd that is yet to become familiar with his Sound.

Souvenir showcases an artist equally at home in the spectrum of pop music and electronica – able to adapt his songwriting to either style and carry off a water tight production throughout. The film industry's loss, is looking like the music industry's gain with this rising talent from Cannes.

Souvenir is out now Via his own imprint.
