Barcelona based eclectic music duo Freedust return with a new single and visuals for "Take Me There," featuring Peruan singer Saphie Wells. The song is off of their just released sophomore seven-track album of the same name.
In "Take Me There," Freedust and Saphie create a soothing soul-drenched downtempo record all about escape. With lyrics such as "Take me to the place I love / Take me to where I never been before / To those places we left traces / Take me there / Far from here you and me," the song narrates going to that special place both mentally and physically for the ultimate getaway to personal freedom.
Sonically, swelling synths overlay Jazz-dipped soundscapes and funk-fueled basslines. Saphie Wells' breezy vocals float into colorful and relaxed melodies full of passion and seduction. In the accompanying visuals, Saphie is seen singing right in the camera while she relaxes on a boat and in a park, enjoying her time. The simplistic video aligns with the simple but important meaning of the song, finding moments of joy in everyday life.
