Swiss alt pop singer/ songwriter Vôx Vé crafts stunning and riveting sonic explorations. She has recently shared a new single titled "Lonely Choir", off of her highly anticipated upcoming full length album We Went Looking for Art.

"Lonely Choir" chronicles Vôx Vé's struggle with an eating disorder and intense loneliness. The song is further a contemplation on positive psychology, the study of behaviors and self developments that lead to a fulfilling and meaningful life. She confides, "I think I always knew on some level that the values I was living weren’t really my own, and that incongruity caused pain. But as I read the science, I found facts to support my feelings, and decided to stop wasting my life —what the studies call— “miswanting” statistically disproven means of happiness like lavish wealth, fame, or adulation, even if it’s hard because we’re constantly receiving this misinformation through the culture that profits from promoting it."

With lyrics including "It’s been quite a long morning / just me and my demons for coffee / I wonder when I'll care when I'm lonely," Vôx Vé understands that extreme solitude is not always healthy and connection with others can lead to healing. Sonically, "Lonely Choir" thrills with quirky pop melodies, experimental electronic-dipped soundscapes and anthemic layered vocals reminiscent of an emotive monk-inspired choir. The single highlights Vôx Vé's tremendous ability to craft music that is unique and novel yet still relatable and infectious.

Vôx Vé was born in Switzerland and moved to the United States to attend Columbia University as a teen. A mental health advocate, the singer/ songwriter is inspired to write candid and raw narratives mirroring her own struggles with anxiety and depression. Her 2020 debut EP Dream Theory 1 featured five soaring indie pop tunes, leading to much critical acclaim. Take a listen to "Lonely Choir" now and remember to reach out when you feel isolated.
