Bristol-based artist Ben Cipolla has revealed his glistening new track “Golden Hour”, from his debut album Casa Mia.
A celebration of the beautiful Mediterranean sun, “Golden Hour” is one of those songs that is effortlessly joyous and whisks you to somewhere worlds away. The track has a subtle energy to it, with quickly strummed guitars delivering sun-kissed melodies.
The chord progression will keep you on the edge of your seat- as if something wonderful is around every corner, almost tantalizing you as a cliffhanger. Subdued string interludes compliment Ben’s warming vocals, embracing the sonic space and capturing the tranquillity of the sun setting.
The ending is almost euphoric, with Ben drenching us in sunny melodies with a pinch of melancholy for good measure.
Revealing more about the inspiration behind the track, Cipolla shares:
“‘Golden Hour’ is about pocketing those calm, peaceful moments whilst on holiday and getting sun-kissed in the most gorgeous Mediterranean city views. It is also about escaping to a place of tranquillity after being bombarded with so much noise and morning frustration.”
If “Golden Hour” is anything to go by, the Casa Mia album will be a unique taste of the sounds of Ben Cipolla and his exploration of his Sicilian heritage that is a great inspiration in his music.
