Canada-based Afro-soul artist KAR33M first popped on our radar a while back with his Idris Lawal assisted single "Shackles" and returns with "want something". The lead single is a blend of futuristic soul with Afropop sensibilities and it's ripe with soothing melodies and an ethereal soundscape to match.

The groove is undeniably African and the moody strings and arpeggios are hypnotically weaved together alongside KAR33M's sultry melodic runs. The track focuses on finding one's true center away from the external forces. It also features Yvng Chriis who delivers his verse in pidgin English.

"want something" is taken from KAR33M's 12-track body of work that aims to inspire its listeners to choose the type of world they live in.

KAR33M is a Nigerian Afro-Soul artist who grew up around music, especially Yoruba artists such as King Sunny Ade and Ayinde Wasiu Mashal played by his mother. He was later introduced to western music by his older uncles who would play music from artists like Usher, 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Westlife, and Back street boys.  He has 1 EP WHOAMI? under his belt.
