17-year-old singer-songwriter Elyse Jewel just released her new single entitled "TBH IDK." The bright emerging artist, whose debut single “Thinking About You” won Pop Song of the Year in the 2019 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, is known for her relatable storytelling that captures the experiences and emotions felt by her generation.

In "TBH IDK", Jewel was inspired by the timeless and multi-dimensional musical style of the great singer-songwriter Julia Michaels. While Elyse Jewel's new song narrates moving on from a toxic relationship, the character of the song itself is ripe with uplifting and charismatic energy, begging the listener to turn the page, start a new chapter, and feel excitement for what's to come. Jewel's radiating vocals soar over a bubbly pop melody intertwined with lyrics such as "sweet and sour when you're gone, my friends tell me to move on…what are you feelin'?…. he says TBH IDK." Jewel adds, "The chorus and the title of the song were inspired by his response when I asked what our relationship was to him. He actually said “tbh idk”, and ghosted me." Dynamic, infectious, and showcasing Jewel's natural ability to craft the perfect anthemic pop chorus, "TBH IDK" reminds us that we are not alone when it comes to our dating woes.

Texas-based Elyse Jewel is just getting started on her musical journey. Jewel's upcoming debut album, Dear Diary, is a 6-song visual album set to release late Summer 2022. As a strong advocate for mental health, Jewel aims to create a place of sanctuary and safety for her listeners, where her fans can feel less alone.

Listen to Elyse Jewel's new single "TBH IDK" here and remember to find the underlying humor in a bad romance.
