Eclectic genre-bending electronic duo SOFI TUKKER delivers the visuals for their new single "Kakee." The vibrant pop number displays the duo's unbridled style while also paying homage to the persimmons fruit in Brazilian Portuguese with double entendres and a whole lot of wit. Sophie Hawley-Weld once again leads the charge with her soft seductive melodic runs followed by Tucker Halpern's bassy vocals underpinned by a bouncy groove and rich guitar arrangements.
The visuals for "Kakee" were filmed in Hawaii and directed by Aerin Moreno, with creative direction from Amber Park and styling by Johnny Wujek. The result is a mix of expressive and sensual vibes with a somewhat implicit representation of the lyrics. The use of quick shots, varied performance shots, and the beautiful landscape really make for a visually pleasing watch, and for anyone wanting to know, all the persimmons are squeezed until they gush and drip everywhere culminating in an ecstatic Sophie laying in a field
The playfully seductive track is a precursor to their forthcoming second album, WET TENNIS, out April 29th on Ultra.
