Honing in on a candid, heartfelt sound, she delivered a series of poignant tracks during the pandemic that served as cathartic outlets for expressing longing and frustration. Her latest single, "Call My Own" is a confessional offering that finds her pairing refreshingly personal lyricism with charm and subtle humor.

"Call My Own" opens with fluttering guitars that set a warm backdrop for Pless' dignified vocals, as elegant strings are brought in beneath to a stirring effect. Her verses are potent and heartwarming, as she weaves a story of self-discovery and longing over using delicate harmonies. Narrating the struggle of craving a unique and exciting life during the pandemic, her melodies drift smoothly atop the dreamy instrumentation, immersing the listener in a wistful, reflective mood.
