Emerging pop talent Lizzie delivers an uplifting message that things will always get better on six-track EP Silver Lining,which combines the young singer’s bold and melodic vocals rooted in a sonically versatile, emotion-rich soundscape.
Opening with the soaring, piano-led production “Blue Sky,” the EP moves quickly into the crux of its feel-good message with pop ballad “Dark Clouds,” which allows her husky yet crystal clear vocals to shine, layered over lush instrumentals as she offers up a comforting, much-needed reminder that we’ll get through the tough times.
On following track, “Kindness of Weakness,” she once infuses her powerhouse vocals with an anthemic arrangement, which comes together to frame an empowering message about not mistaking someone’s kindness for weakness before switching gears with slower, acoustic-led “My Story.”
Final two tracks “Walkway,” and “Makes You Feel Better,” weave together for a soothing and emotive finish which leaves us wanting more of her goosebumps-inducing voice and delicate musicality.
