Indie dream-pop four piece Bollo Bollo share the announcement of their debut EP I've Got A Good Feeling About This with the release of new single "Liquid Heaven." The Buckinghamshire-based band can be seen to have a weird obsession with oranges in the paired visuals, but all quickly becomes clear.
Carefully written about addiction, the jangly indie melodies flourish under the summer-fuelled vocals. The band's dynamic combats the heavy themes with jovial imagery, a common British trait that we all learn from a young age and a trait that serves us well throughout hard times. "Liquid Heaven" builds a foundation of guitars and drums and embellishes them with woozy undertones to create a light-hearted look at how addictions can consume us.
Guitarist Sonny Ford tells us more about the single, explaining that the track is about "the sad routine-like cycle that [addiction] can become, yet being unable to break from within its grasp. We wanted to juxtapose the more serious nature of the lyrics, almost like finding the light in the dark."
I have Got A Good Feeling About This, the debut EP from Bollo Bollo is out this summer.
