FerQuan (fka Quan) is back in the field as he drops the visuals for his new single "The Jungle." The multi-talented rapper/singer/producer first burst onto the scene on the classic Nas hit "Just A Moment," and even had a stint on Ill Will Records. After going through the ups and downs of the industry amidst personal troubles, the man is back in his element as shown on the new single.
"The Jungle" is a euphemism for the wild urban life and troubled childhood upbringing every black individual can relate to in the USA. FerQuan delivers an unfiltered account of the life and takes listeners deep into the dark alleys, crevices, and corners where things go bump. The rapper blends a mix of melody with hard-nosed rap flows over the cinematic and somber backdrop laid before him. The visual makes use of performance shots, symbolism, and expressive choreography and aesthetics that ties into the theme of the song.
Quan was recently cast in a starring role in the regional stage production of Chaos in the House, and plays the role of late rapper Tupac Shakur in the upcoming Andre Rison biopic Wide Open (based on the book of the same name). Quan’s Kingz Nation imprint has also grown to incorporate real estate, which includes a multimedia facility in Atlanta, Georgia, fully equipped with a barbershop/salon, film and recording studio, marketing center, and hookah lounge.
He is currently working on his King Quan Project, which will include two new EPs: Barz and Balladz.
