Virginia-based artist Del Ro’Yale pays ode to 90s R&B with new single “Ghost,” giving us a glimpse of his forthcoming debut album Risking It All: Wavs, carried by his soulful vocals embedded in honeyed melodies and edgy bass.

Delving into the act of being ghosted, the track is a uber groovy production infused with relatable energy which sees the R&B act guiding us through being ghosted. With lyrics like ‘What would you do if I move like you do’ “Ghost,” is life advice wrapped up in earworm soundscapes, as Del Ro’Yale drives home the message of reciprocating energy – in short be petty, to someone who’s petty to you.

Giving off vibes that are meditative yet somehow brimming with explosive energy, “Ghost,” takes forward Del Ro’Yale’s decade-long career in music production, framed by candid observations and heartfelt contemplations. From performing at open mics and live gigs to crafting a well-received debut EP, musician Deltan Walston has polished his musical identity as Del Ro’Yale with each release, establishing himself as an artist worth keeping on your radar.
