Leicester, UK artist Kae Kuzi takes listeners into his life as an indie artist trying to find his footing in the new single “Local Tyrant.” The track is built on a somber and soulful texture peppered by bouncy trap drums which Kuzi uses to paint his life on wax. He uses a plethora of soccer references to color his tale from his humble beginnings to making life-changing decisions in order to find his way out of the doldrums. Far from glorying the street life, Kuzi is more about chasing his dreams and avoiding all types of distractions that may derail him from success.
Kae Kuzi is one of the newest up-and-coming talents coming out of the UK. Based in Leicester and taking influences from other native greats such as Slowthai, Skepta, and Knucks, he has quickly formed his own path in such a small space of time. He started his foray into music a year ago and he sure has a lot of potentials and we can only wait for what he brings to the table next.
