Amy Swift deserves more on "More to Us"

British singer-songwriter, Amy Swift is preparing to launch her debut album and in the interim, she shares the lead single "More to Us," which serves as a taste of what to expect from the emerging vocalist. The mid-tempo record is built on soulful jazz chords, warm bassline, and punchy boom-bap drums reminiscent of what the Dap-Kings created for Amy Winehouse. "More to Us" is a reflective song about heartbreak and all the drama that ensues within a cracked relationship. From questioning, if your partner truly loves you to realizing that maybe you deserve more out of this situation, Swift runs through the gamut of emotions with her piercing and commanding vocal performance which is underpinned by evocative lyrics and a soothing melodic run.

Amy Swift is a South-East London-raised artist who grew up on the sounds of Soul, Jazz, and Motown. She started off writing and performing for other artists and eventually started her own group Soul/Electronica band Pacific State before going solo. Her previous endeavors include touring with Natacha Atlas and penning the track "Feel" for the grand finalist of The Voice Australia, Arlo Sims.

She is currently putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming debut album Moving, scheduled to drop in January 2022.

Get "More to Us" on  Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer.
