British Jamaican R&B artist and songwriter Lishana follows up her 2020 debut singles with a third titled "Self Love." The R&B and dancehall fusion track sees her teaming up with Grime pioneer and "Pay As U Go" legend Maxwell D and the result is a vibrant track about a subject that is very relatable but also deeply personal to both of them. With the song calling for us to protect our energy from negativity and drama, Lishana drives home the importance of loving yourself and spreading love to others throughout the very infectious offering. Bolstered by the bubbly and hypnotic production from Yomi Brasko, both Lishana and Maxwell D deliver smooth melodic performances while imploring us of the need to practice self-love at all times.
Lishana’s "Self Love" also comes with a fun, colorful, and wholesome music video directed by JFX Visuals who capture both artists in high spirits as they vibe to the song. The video features a cameo appearance from her daughter, which also points to how this message of self-love is as equally important for our children to embrace as well.
With three singles under her notch, the Croydon, London native is currently preparing for her upcoming debut album, scheduled for a 2022 release.
