Rosie Tee needed to leave to appreciate what she has in new single “Anchors”

It can be scary being away from home for a long period. Being without your familiar comforts can definitely feel lonely and isolating at times. Rosie Tee sings of wishing she had something tying down her boat to not drift away in her single “Anchors”. The intense electronic arrangements meld together creating noises that almost feel like a ship in water. The dark, psychedelic sounds make for a truly mind-altering release. Her stunningly haunting tone adds to the track’s moody vibe.

Known for her eclectic avant-pop style, her music really displays her innovation and creativity. “Anchors”, off Tee’s upcoming EP Earth, Embrace Me In, possesses that same unique quality. She reveals of the release, “I wrote ‘Anchors’ at a time when I was away from home for an extended period. I had an unexpected realization that when you take away your friends, family, partner, city and all the immediate things that make up who you are – what’s left? Alone, who are you without those integral components that contribute to your sense of belonging and identity? This moment taught me how to appreciate what I’d left behind, whilst also being a golden opportunity to get to know myself away from that safety net.”
