In spite of the setbacks and challenges the last 16 months have posed, Irish-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Cromby has gone from strength to strength. With previous releases on Sulta Selects, Feel My Bicep, Rekids and Unknown To The Unknown, Cromby is no stranger to a proper banger. His latest release comes via Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound; a DJ that played an important part in Cromby’s formative raving years, Que Sientes serves as proof that dreams can come true, with enough dedication.

A contemporary electro cut, “Que Sientes” features the sultry purrs of vocalist Tee Amara. Bursting into things with a breaky drum workout and roaring bass, Amara’s Spanish vocal performance adds a seductive edge to the track, with a mean acid line keeping things on track to be a rave weapon. Made with Cromby’s Panorama Bar closing sets in mind, “Que Sientes” is “the meeting of two friends and lifelong dancefloor enthusiasts from across the world.” Ready to be unleashed upon sweaty dancefloors all over Europe, this one was made for the moments the sunlight is peeking through the windows. Euphoric, fun and sexy, we can’t wait to hear this one in the wild.

The EP is completed with an instrumental version, and a remix from Nicola Cruz — which takes things to a much trippier level. A kaleidoscopic mix, Cruz’ remix strips things back to basics, whilst transporting us to a new dimension. The vocals are diminished to choppy, otherworldly mumbles, serving mystical, late-night house psychedelia. Worlds apart from the original, the remix is so tasteful it’s impossible to choose a favourite.

Que Sientes can be streamed and purchased via Bandcamp.
