Maddie Glass cancels earthling dating in "Space Boyfriend"

New York based pop-punk artist Maddie Glass is back with a new interstellar single entitled “Space Boyfriend". After releasing her successful debut song, "Livin in 2021," last May, Maddie Glass is establishing herself as a well-polished artist with a spunky and energetic sound — and of course, plenty of sass.

In “Space Boyfriend,” Maddie sings about the grim dating scene she experienced both in New York and Los Angeles. Constantly disappointed by flakiness and other mishaps in her quest to find that special someone, Maddie comes to the realization that perhaps her true love just exists elsewhere, in outer space. “I should have grown up on Venus or Mars, in a city beyond the skies and stars, but I’m not looking for a fling, I’m looking for a guy to be my everything” she sings on the track. Although the song is about Maddie’s dating woes, there is something very fun about the bouncing instrumentation, semi-angsty lyrics, and the vibrant singable chorus. There is a euphoria to the song that is infectious, with an earnestness that is relatable and makes you want to sing along.

Maddie Glass is a pop-punk singer songwriter living in New York who blends grunge, pop, and punk to form her own fresh signature sound. As a natural performer, Maddie is also an actress who can be seen in Off Broadway productions in and around the city.

If you enjoy pop punk that straddles the mid 2000s with a fresh twist, then this song is for you.
