ChuXchu and Ayo Jay prove that "Numbers Don't Lie" [Video]

Emerging American-based Nigerian artist, Chuxchu, recently released his debut EP, Luv Struck, a short while ago and now he serves up the video for his bouncy Echo The Guru-produced single "Numbers Don't Lie." The mellow party jam sees him working with fellow Nigerian singer Ayo Jay who compliments ChuXchu's laidback vocals with his high-pitched dancehall-infused melodies. The record talks about the undeniable chemistry and love for their respective ladies and throws in a bit of West African flair to spice things up. For a love song, it sure has quite a solid bounce and smooth catchiness that makes it a mid-tempo jam.

The visual is bright and captures vibrant gaudy party energy with both artists getting balanced screen time. The mix of performance shots, expressive choreography, and sultry set-pieces help balance things out as well. I like the way it is presented with less visual effects and a lot more focus on the energy of the performers. "Numbers Don't Lie" is taken from his 5-track EP Luv Struck, a body of work that blends different degrees of love and the attachment that is often faced by many.

ChuXchu (Formerly known as Chu-Chu) is a New York born and Abuja, Nigeria raised artist who started his musical career in early 2019 after taking vocal and production classes. He has worked with a number of rising Nigerian stars such as WANI and Buju.
