French electronic pop princess Yelle always pushes her music and image to its maximum fun and creativity. Together with GrandMarnier, the two form the band also named Yelle and have been delivering their distinctly off-kilter and playful songs for years. Back in September, Yelle debuted a fourth album L'Ère du Verseau, which translates to The Age of Aquarius in English. It sees the two pushing the band's sound forward with more electro and modern risks while still keeping true to their roots and signature spirit. The next single from the new album is “Noir” and of course it comes with a video to match.
“Noir” boasts a fashionable confidence and visually an obvious black dress code. While listeners bop along to Yelle’s sassy synth pop, we see her avant-garde “Noir” look come together before our eyes in the video. Even without the video, the song has that runway stomp and dreamy, chic sophistication down pact. Leave it to Yelle to deliver the total package with every detail accounted for. Also, you don't want to miss the “Noir” remixes from Dutch producer Mason and frequent Yelle collaborator Tepr. Each brings out a different side and mood to the song, but still keeps that contagious, carefree energy. You can find all things “Noir” and the full L'Ère du Verseau album out now via the band's label Recreation Center.
