Following a promising 2020 with a steady slew of releases that have racked up thousands of plays, rising artist Natty Wylah returns for new single "BRUCE" via Gecky Records.

Marking his first release of 2021, Wylah's "BRUCE" is the lead track for his forthcoming mixtape under the same name. Produced by Srigala, it is a tender yet striking depiction of defiance to social conformity as well as the pressures faced as an artist: “'BRUCE' was written from a place of pensiveness yet pissed-off urgency. I speak of defiance and a refusal to be boxed in, covering themes of self-discovery and reflecting on the world through fiction: the metaphor as truth, empowerment through inner-strength and navigating illusions. I want to remind us that no matter the semantics, the antics, your religion or creed; we’re in alliance against the discrimination and evil: ‘I don’t know about gendered gods: just kings and queens we people,’” he explains.

Executed with slick verses, Wylah flows between poetic onslaughts and mellow choruses with raw vocal tones that resemble the likes of Loyle Carner and Kano whilst moulding his own signature spin. Underlined with Srigala's dreamy breakdowns whilst Wylah's lyrical energy shines through, the rising talent has delivered a diverse melting pot of R&B, hip-hop, jazz and grime to soothe the soul.

Proving a force to be reckoned with, Wylah is already gaining attention from the industry’s finest, including Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova, Toddla T, Don Letts and 6 Music's Tom Robinson. Highly anticipated to continue his momentum for 2021 and his upcoming mixtape to look forward to, Wylah stands firmly at the forefront of future stars.

Natty Wylah's "BRUCE" is out now via Gecky Records, buy / stream here.
