We close out the end of January with another exciting edition of The Slice. Episode 74 is a mix bag of many sorts so stay calm and let's get into it without further delay.

Emcee Last Van Gxgh opens up on the somber single "Rocket Ship" where he wades through the darkness of his current struggles to come out on a more positive note. Through masterful wordplay, he implores listeners to always look at the bright side of life regardless. Darrell Simms shows us his preferences with the midtempo bouncy track "Yellowbone" while LA-based emcee Dandila strikes back at the powers that be on the thought-provoking song "DICK NIXON."

Singer Kelly Vargas pours out her emotions on the heartfelt track "Purple Tears." Over a crispy drum and layered texture, she delivers a soul gripping performance that exudes strength and self-empowerment. "Run It Up Remix" sees the trio of B3hree , TOPE, and CoolNutz teaming up for this go-getter anthem. Producer EndorfinBeats and emcee A7mc take time to reflect on life and growth in the new single "Troubles." Mister Rodrigo takes us back with that retro UK Garage sound on "Show Me Love"—the new lead single from his forthcoming EP.

Emerging UK R&B act Cilla Raie makes her debut on our list with "Motives"—a sultry upbeat cut that showcases her edgy style and brilliant songwriting skills. Hollywood unites, as actors and musicians Connor Price and Idris Elba team up for a fun-filled cut titled "Courteney Cox." "Sabado" is a catchy feel-good bouncy cut from Louis Metric and Abstract who team up to uplift listeners to get out their doldrums. Australian emcee Sachém and NYC act Nenjah Nycist reflect on the current political climate on the somber "Democracy." Teeklef closes out this episode of The Slice with "No Qualms"—a carefree melodic cut that celebrates life.
