Harlem native Trips SOG hip-hop royalty. Being the son of the legendary Doug E. Fresh sure helps in many ways but the emcee is charting his own path the best way he knows how. From staring his career in the group Square Off, which included his brother and uncle to writing on A$AP Rocky’s album, Long. Live. ASAP, Trips SOG has slowly built his resume in the rap world. Fast forward to 2021, his new release "RI$K" sees him teaming up with his brother DropTopSlim who lends a smooth verbal assist on the mellow somber track about taking risks and appreciating the outcome.
The dark cinematic visual is directed by Diego Varga and Trips SOG himself who ensures his vision is fully captured on screen. They make use of several set pieces, performance shots, and some storytelling to drive the track. Straying away from bright elements, most of the visual is rather dark which could allude to the activities the duo are into. The costumes are stylish too which is expected from Harlemites who are highly influenced by fashion and style.
