Adapter debuts on Trick with his ‘I Need U’ EP

Italian producer Adapter has caused a stir in recent months with heavy hitters on the likes Desolat, Snatch! and Relief, and now makes his debut on Patrick Topping’s Trick label with a triple threat EP I Need U.  Already championing his talent previously, the new release follows Topping's remix of Adapter's "Skate Dancer" on Hot Creations last year.

Lead track “I Need U” packs a punch with 80s style synths and percussion, whilst a diva vocal groove stands at the forefront amongst wonky pad warps and magnifying bass. Continuing the weighty drum lines into “Hyperactive”, Adapter shifts the energy  up a gear with flickering synth pulses that delve into hypnotic house and techno realms, filled with obscure melodies that nod to the 80s once more.

Drawing the EP to an ear melting close, “Ponger” adds another shot of intensity with futuristic synth leads and rhythmic breakdowns whilst reviling in Adapter’s signature bass. Producing an EP that solidifies as some of his best and most experimental work yet, 2021 is set to be a promising year for this rising talent.

Adapter's I Need U EP is out now via Trick, available to buy / stream here.
