Emerging Essex-born, London-based singer Mercy's Cartel shares her new single "Falling." The track sees her working with her longtime collaborator Dom Porter, who she met while studying philosophy at the University of Bristol. The two developed a working relationship which led to Cartel dropping her 2018 Vibes Cartel EP. On the new single, "Falling" we are treated to a smooth fusion of R&B, pop, and electronic elements that blend into each other in an effortless manner.

With Cartel's warm sultry vocals taking center stage over the groovy drums and lush sublime textures, we get a glimpse into the artist's love life in this global lockdown. Inspired by her own experiences at the start of the lockdown, she explores the realities of being in a socially distanced romance that slowly blossomed and the pain of not being able to physically feel the love she needs."Falling" is actually catchy without falling into pop tropes trap and delivers the goods with its easy-going approach.
Cartel is currently working on new music and her sophomore EP. Besides music, she also spends time collaborating on initiatives such as Native Managements, an outfit that aims to develop the careers of black women in the entertainment industry.
