SOFI TUKKER teams up with Icona Pop for sweaty dancefloor track "Spa"

SOFI TUKKER teams up with electronic duo Icona Pop for a brand new single "Spa." The opening lyrics "Naked bodies everywhere/It's okay, you can stare," sets the tone early for an unapologetic and unabashed release dripping with thumping bass and catchy vocal chants.

"Spa" is a brilliant multi-layered collaboration that features everything from Tucker Halpern's deep soul reverberating baritone, Icona Pop's treasured techno-pop chants, and Sophie Hawley-Weld's signature guitar licks. The pounding beats and stead-fast claps maintain a relentless pace but a masterful downtempo moment helps ignite a self-care dance anarchy to erupt.

Speaking on the collaboration, SOFI TUKKER (née Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern) share,"There’s nothing like making a song with friends we love and admire. We had so much fun in the studio with Icona Pop making this track. We hope people can feel the joy and giddiness and ridiculousness that we all felt while making it. Even though we miss the club now more than ever, there’s also never been such an important time for self-care. Put some cuces on your eyes."

Icona Pop's Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo further that respected and heartwarming sentiment by sharing, "We’ve been huge fans of SOFI TUKKER for a long time and doing this collaboration was really a dream. It was pure creative happiness in the studio and even though it was our first time working together it all felt so natural. This song is weird in the very best way and we hope that people can have a rave spa at home while listening to it."

SOFI TUKKER continues their ambitious daily livestream performances, recently celebrating their 200th livestream with a Freak Fam Prom. According to a recent press release: The Freak Fam is the online community that has emerged around the group’s daily sets and are featured in the music video for their collaborative single with Gorgon City, "House Arrest." For those fans that are still craving for even more SOFI TUKKER, the duo will also be performing on a special "House Tuesdays" October livestreaming residency with Insomniac.

SOFI TUKKER encourages fans to donate to the PLUS1 Black Lives Solidarity Fund. Through this fund, PLUS1 is committed to addressing the legacy of slavery, combating white supremacy, and dismantling systemic oppression by advocating for the change needed to produce equality and freedom for through organizations like Equal Justice Initiative, Impact Justice, and The Bail Project.

Tune into HOUSE TUESDAYS @ 7pm PT / 10pm ET on SOFI TUKKER's Twitch and tv.insomniac.com

"Spa" is out now on all major streaming platforms via RECORD COMPANY TEN/Ultra Music.
