New Jersey native K-Prez teams up with Rhode Island producer J. Depina for this dusty cinematic piece titled "Weigh Out." The song serves as a form of precursor to the duo's Flawless EP.
J. Depina supplies exactly what is needed on the track with his scenic production that sounds like a 70's b-movie score. K-Prez sounds very much at home and vividly describes his journey as a young man trying to make his way through the concrete jungle where predators are lurking at every turn. He pulls out all the stops with a calculated flow and insightful lines like "When I break out, I'm putting Jersey on the surface/flipping burgers, didn't matter I had a purpose/Blowing purp' thinking how my soul is not for purchase." K-Prez is a man on his purpose and doesn't shy away from letting everyone know exactly that.
"Weigh Out" is the lead single from K-Prez and J. Depina's Flawless EP. It's released under DJ Concept’s label, Crisis Center Collective. The project can be purchased on leading digital platforms here.
