R&B singer-songwriter, Devvon Terrell has arrived with a new single and animated music video for "You Trippin." The Brooklyn-based artist has displayed a number of his talents musically and visually, with this release as he's preparing to drop his upcoming album VOL. 2 DÉJÀ VU. The artist and producer is now toting his animator hat as he puts together the visual for his second release off of the next project with this latest music video.

"You Trippin" delivers that classic groovy R&B sound, one that Terrell thrives on. The blend of hip-hop and bouncy soul has become his signature style. His silky and consistent vocals blend masterfully with the sultry and simplistic production.

"This song teases into an immersive story of love on the album that one faces us all," Terrell tells EARMILK. "We constantly go through the motions over and over until we get it right. To have the significant other we're destined for. But the experiences will inevitably repeat themselves on the journey. From cheating, to pet peeves, to miscommunications–it's deja vu."

The 3D-animated video is minimal in style and has a light-hearted tone as Devvon's character borderline stalk a love interest as she travels the country. The 3D-animated video is minimal in style and has a light-hearted tone.

Of the visual, Terrell shares, “So, I decided to create a visual that is an escape from our current climate. An animates scenario of how things used to be. Thus, the audience clings to that as a nostalgic piece rather than one that exists at the moment."

"You Trippin" follows Terrell’s earlier release of “Homewrecker” back in August, which has already amassed over 145,000 streams on Spotify. That single set the tone for a big boost in popularity once VOL. 2 DÉJÀ VU comes out. Devvon Terrell was just added to Spotify's The Newness. Looks as though Terrell is on his way to being an R&B force to reckon.
