17-year old Justin Rarri debuted his sophomore EP Youngest in Kharge today. The EP boasts three features alongside the Bronx-born rapper, including STUNNA4VEGAS, Smoove'L, and Lil Poppa. Building off of the momentum of last year's mixtape release 4EVARARRI, the new project continues to fuse his melodic flow with headbanging beats.
The 9-track EP exercises the young rapper's lyrical ability over a diverse compilation of beats. Sampling bachata artist, Luis Vargas' "Loco de Amor", the track "2 Seater" finds Rarri switching lanes in foreign whips. Switching gears over melancholic guitar riffs, he trades bars with fellow rapper Lil Poppa on "Strong". Reminiscing over their struggles, the two let go of shallow verses for more serious lyricism. Youngest in Kharge leaves room for Rarri to test out different sounds as he adjusts his delivery on each track. Enlisting STUNNA4VEGAS on "Neighborhood Supplier", the two take turns dropping bars filled with playful bravado.
Inspired by artists like Young Thug, Future, and A$AP Rocky, Rarri has taken the time to cultivate his own sound. Garnering recognition from platforms like Complex, NFL, and the Lakers, the growing artist is a star on the rise. Halfway into the year and Rarri is doing everything to make a name for himself.
