New Orleans-based Andriu 'Yàno' Yanovski is the genuine article: whilst only being a mere two singles into his career, nothing short of true passion exudes from every possible avenue. His second single to date, "Can't Fall In Love Again," is the perfect example of this, and forecasts a bright future for his new solo venture.
His history as part of the genre-bending BOOGIE T.RIO has a clear influence and pushes his soulful sensibilities in colourful directions, and are delivered with a lively energy informed by their emphatic live performances. The infectious groove is established from the offset, as shimmering synths sweep in to compliment the funky bass and Yàno's jubilant vocal. The pre-chorus sees a brief pause in the dynamic energy, adding introspective shade to the track before the addictive chorus brings it back to a feel-good strut.
With much of the world spending their summers inside, "Can't Fall In Love Again" is a slice of summer ready to be enjoyed wherever you are."This song, despite its seemingly sad title, is actually about feeling so happy and in love with someone that you can’t imagine feeling that way about anyone else," Yàno explains. "It all came together back in 2016, during my senior year of college when I was hopelessly in love."
"Can't Fall In Love Again" is out Friday, the 19th of June via Drama Club Records, and keep your eyes peeled for his debut EP Somewhere in Between later this year.
