Los Angeles born, London based artist Minhee Jones is adjusting to new regulations along with the rest of the world. The news has been throwing a lot at us the past couple months, from facts and statistics to do’s and don'ts, but the one thing that has been cemented deep in our brain is “keep six feet away.” Alt-pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jones, delves deeper into what this really means and the effects it can have on people’s day-to-day lives.

Haunting dream-like vocals introduce the song, while storytelling lyrics narrate the different ways that we are using to try and cope with the current position we are all in. Jones shares in her press release, “we're stuck at home and suddenly we're drinking more and eating more and binging more TV and online ALL THE TIME in an effort to not deal with just how destructive this virus has been to humanity.” We’re using any means possible to filter the amount of information we’re being bombarded with, burying our heads and trying to come to terms with this new lifestyle in any way possible.  Twinkling piano melodies and soft, delicate instrumentation provide a calm and uplifting emotion, emanating an uplifting essence. The moving new visuals show a sense of community, with a collage of clips highlighting how each individual is enduring their time in lockdown. From dancing, singing and baking to creating music and spending time with their pets, we are all adapting. The video is a reminder that for the first time in history, we are all united in a global pandemic and we will overcome it by supporting each other.

Jones has proved time and again her restlessness and determination to conquer some of the most seemingly unrealistic goals. As a three times Guinness World Records holder, she is known for her accomplishment of playing concerts in 51 cities in 7 days and is proof that we can achieve anything we put our minds to.
