Kevin Sinatra drops his new soul-touching visual "Gone/Flint." The Woodbridge, Virginia artist gives us something extremely intriguing, introducing us to his personal love life while bringing awareness to the Flint water crisis.
Kevin has been on a hiatus since 2011 while taking time to develop his art. He wanted to be patient and use his time to make music that would translate as soul food. Finally releasing new music after 9 years, he gives us something undeniably pleasing.
"Gone/Flint" is an empowering track that awakens the senses through imagery, especially because he enters different refreshing scenes such as the bedroom, forest, and the ocean. Additionally, he cleverly connects the power that water has to the message. Through intense lyrics, he intelligently exposes us to his personal experience with love and then quickly flips to his feelings about the Flint crisis. At first, one might think that this would be off-topic, but his smooth vocal delivery makes it flow effortlessly. Hoping to bring awareness, he spills his raw emotion in order to connect with ours. Beautifully serenading us, it is possible that his sweet words will reach all of our hearts. If you enjoyed this, stay tuned for his upcoming album, dropping later this year.
