Cardiff duo Big Character are making supersonic indie-rock. Hailing from the heart of Wales, they've shared their latest single "Undress", an explicit display of their rock trajectory and catapults the duo onto the scene.
With swish indie-fuelled guitar motifs, the track draws upon those lonely feelings that missing someone can enhance. Laced with a slight 60s haze, the track weaves amongst bulshy choruses and meticulous melodies, detailing the frustrations of separation. "Fitting for recent times", according to the band, "Undress" is about those rare and precious moments of being totally at ease in someone's company – not a care in the world." Despite a small, yet growing catalogue of tunes, Big Character are crafting a sleek, polished sound that will worm it's way into your ears.
Swarmed with gritty vocals and interstellar guitar leads, it's a track that introduces a band with an effortless swagger. "Undress" will have you dancing, reminiscing and crying all at the same time. And because of that, it's quite clearly a corker. I dare you not to hit repeat a thousand times after your first listen.
