Dutch DJ and dance music super-producer R3HAB has tapped triple-platinum selling singer-songwriter Andy Grammer for "Good Example," a bubbly future pop jam released on the former's CYB3RPVNK imprint.
With his versatile production skill-set, R3HAB has remained one of the most consistent and visible DJ/producers in the electronic genre. His innate ability to seamlessly oscillate between radio-ready future bass and rollicking, club-driven electro house has enabled him to flourish in a post-EDM scene where big room house is desperately clinging like a wailing child on his mom's leg at a grocery store. Alongside artists like Martin Garrix, Alesso, and Don Diablo, R3HAB still dabbles in his festival-friendly sound while simultaneously releasing beautiful dance/pop hybrids that demonstrate not only immense sonic depth, but also serious artistic growth.
The Grammer-assisted "Good Example" is a fine representation of the latter, using poignant acoustic guitar plucks and melancholic chord progressions to evince a nostalgic tone that coalesces with the song's wistful lyrics. Using distorted vocal chops in the chorus and brilliantly processed vocoders in the second pre-chorus, among other shrewd techniques, R3HAB also proves his production prowess is as strong as ever.
