Rebel Phoenix tells the hip-hop scene to "Look at Me Now"

Dublin's bustling hip-hop scene wouldn't be as far along as it is without people like Rebel Phoenix. One of the true OG's in the game, Rebel Phoenix has been one of the best lyricists coming off the Emerald Isle and he continues to hit this vein of form on his new single "Look at Me Now".

Following the release of his Global Warming collaboration with Dublin's upcoming producer Marcus Woods, Rebel has been one of the most consistent artists to come out of the Ireland. Having performed at a lot of high profile shows across the country and beyond, the stage has been set for the lift off of Rebel Phoenix and the Rebel Mafia brand.

The trap influenced piano based beat is the perfect playground for the potent pen of Rebel P. His word selection and clear knowledge gained over time bleeds through in his complicated flows. His ability to pen an incredibly catchy hook is also on show here with by far one of his best in his discography.

The motifs of hustling and bouncing back from losses are all over this release. A true hustlers mentality that others can draw inspiration from. The emotions portrayed in "Look at Me Now" are cold, calculated and profound to say the least. Rebel P has proven once more that he is to be respected and revered in the Irish scene and beyond.

Rebel Phoenix isn't going to slow up at any rate, with another project seemingly on the horizon. Rebel has his US debut show in New York coming up in The Mercury Lounge for Craic Fest during Saint Patrick's week. I feel everyone should keep an eye on Rebel as he is definitely one to watch in the hip-hop scene.
