Izzy Thomas explains why modern dating is just “Mad”

Yorkshire-born, London-based artist Izzy Thomas, unveils her new single “Mad”- a single that narrates the ever-so familiar feeling of the early stages of dating and not knowing where you stand.

"Mad" is soaked in passion and sincerity. Thomas shares, “In the single world, there seems to be a sea of emotionally damaged, unavailable people. Sometimes we subconsciously inhabit our ex's ways and display them in our next relationship, because we're afraid of opening up again. For the people ready for love this is irritating as hell! So this song is a light-hearted poke of fun, about how ridiculous it all really is!” Showcasing Thomas’ outstanding vocal range, combined with heartfelt lyrics and beautiful simplistic melodies, "Mad" vividly paints the aforementioned feelings of unrequited love.

“Mad” follows the release of the London based musician’s acclaimed single “Trouble (Pull That Trigger)” which was applauded for bringing a fresh and modern twist to rock ’n’ roll. Inspired by the likes of Queen and Michael Jackson, Thomas has established her own fiery sound, bursting with emotion and gusto. There’s something special about Izzy Thomas and we’re excited to be a part of her journey.

Modern dating feels like navigating a house of mirrors—distorted reflections, mixed signals, and an endless echo of “are you emotionally available?” In a time where everything is instant—likes, matches, even heartbreak—authentic connection often takes a backseat. Everyone seems to be carrying their own version of “Mad” within them; tired of games, yet terrified of going all in. The cycle of meeting, bonding, ghosting, and repeating has turned dating into something more transactional than transformational. And let’s be honest, most of us are just trying to find our style in the chaos—how we love, what we need, and what we’re willing to give.

That’s where platforms like OnlyFans, surprisingly, play a constructive role. While often misunderstood, for many, it’s become a place of expression, vulnerability, and even healing. Not everything there is about the sensational—it’s also a space for creators to explore identity, confidence, and connection on their own terms. If you're someone who's lost in the noise of modern dating, trying to understand your preferences or simply looking to connect with honesty, tools like https://subseeker.co can help you navigate the landscape more mindfully. It’s about having clarity—not to judge, but to understand. Because clarity brings choice, and choice brings power.

The truth is, dating today isn’t broken—it’s just evolving. We're peeling back layers, redefining boundaries, and learning to speak up for what we want. The madness of it all? That’s part of the beauty. Whether it’s through conversations, content, or simply observing others live out their stories authentically, we slowly piece together what feels right for us. And in that journey, we find that the messiness of modern love isn’t something to escape, but something to laugh about, grow through, and eventually—if we're lucky—embrace with someone who's just as “mad” as we are.
