Alt-pop newcomer golda pulls us “Under” the current with spellbinding single

LA-based songstress golda arrives with her second ever single “Under." The track follows “Wish I Was Someone Else,” her achingly beautiful debut single from last November. Both tracks are lifted off her forthcoming self-titled EP.

“Under” is a powerful alt-pop force of a different nature. Poignant and seductive, the sophomore single is brimming with alluring productions and gorgeous vocals. There’s an immediate sense of intimacy here as golda’s magnetic energy pulls listeners into her distinctive world. The sonic arrangements are richly composed and convey a particular form of comfort for the mind and soul alike. After just two singles, golda is carving out her own alt-pop road paved with inspiring lyricism and quivering cadences that bring upon self-reflection to listeners at hand.

"‘Under’ is about being constantly dragged into someone else's depression," golda mentions in an email. "You try to be there for them and support them through their time, but they don't want to get out. They want you to get in. Under is about calling that out and rejecting it, anthemically."

"Under," which is officially out this Friday, serves as the second introduction to her self-titled EP out later this year.
