Raynes struggles with relationship reservations in "Second Thought"

Raynes is comprised of two Americans and a Brit. Known for their distinctive blend of indie pop with "expensive folk," the trio are making waves with their unique exploration of sound. With vibrant violin riffs and ascending vocal harmonies, their latest single "Second Thought" details the indecision and hesitations we often experience in relationships. The track is produced by the famed Mighty Mike (Lana Del Rey, The Neighbourhood, Dua Lipa) and mastered by Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Vampire Weekend, Shawn Mendes).

Now based in Los Angeles, Mat Charley and Joe Berger, both born and raised in North Dakota, met UK native Mark Race through Instagram, and from there Raynes was born. Blending elements of contemporary pop with Americana arrangements, fans are attracted to their one-of-a-kind style. Their introspective songs are known to take inspiration from Bible stories and Greek myths as well as more intimate and personal experiences. With the incorporation of pop production and folk instrumentation, the trio create a glossier, sleeker sound than your typical indie folk music. Take a listen to "Second Thought" and get lost on a journey of uncertainty.
