DMV indie rap act Philippe Prosper (aka Rap is a Martial Art) is back doing what he does best—mixing high energy kung-fu skills and hip-hop. On his new release titled "Adidas Originals", he teams up with fellow NY lyricists Chris Rivers and ChubyGod. Like the title, the trio harkens back to the classic '90s era of hip-hop with a dark, gritty, and menacing beat courtesy of Brian Jacobs Rivera. Take listen below as "ADIDAS ORIGINALS" offers up a masterful plethora of dynamic verbal techniques that would have ears ringing and heads nodding.
The self-directed visual fuses the trifecta of martial arts, energetic raps, and hip-hop fashion. Each emcee comes through with their own unique styles and unhinged performance while flanked by ninjas and secret agents. In his usual fashion, Philippe Prosper also displays some fascinating Shaolin Kung fu moves.
