What better way to drown the Monday blues than a nice dose of that classic gritty hip-hop from Rochester-NY emcee Pounds. The heavyweight rapper has been doing his thing for a while now with the release of 2 projects in 2019 alone. Not one to rest on his oars. Pounds closes the year with a brand new collaborative project Trafficante with legendary DITC-affiliate producer Buckwild (he produced Blackrob's "Woah") and shares with us the visual for the song "No Way."
Pounds is in his element here as he paints vivid pictures of street life where anything could go wrong in an instant. Armed with a unique growl and somewhat boisterous flow, Pounds puts the listener right in the mix of things over the menacing beat that sounds like something right out of a 90s action flick. The visuals are directed by Vegas Films who help bring the weight moving anthem to life as they follow Pounds and his crew during winter from their unknown base of operations to their merchandise run.
Trafficante is wholly produced by Buckwild and features a collection of songs that captures the raw essence of the self-acclaimed 448-lord over that classic DITC production.
