Penny Betts provide a charismatic and captivating release with their new self-titled EP. Showcasing earnest songwriting, hypnotic melodies and echoing indie rock soundscapes, this four-track EP creates something laid-back yet invigorating.

Opening with "Electric Ballroom Dress", the '60s inspired song features vibrating soundscapes of muted guitars and gentle drums. The group quickly get groovy as "Run My Mind" offers a more mind-bending track oozing with energetic electric guitars, pounding drums and deeply fierce vocals. The song is a narration of a relationship’s end, but the image of the person still lingers behind.

Concluding the EP are the tranquil sounds of "Black and Blue" – a psychedelic standout that transports listeners to another world through soothing sounds and effortless velvety vocals.

The UK’s Penny Betts are known for their distinctly smooth blend of indie-pop and vintage sixties sound. Inspired by retro rock icons such as Cream and Pink Floyd, their rich honeyed tone paired with psych soaked arrangements craft an original flair classic and contemporary.
