Melbourne- based singer/songwriter Lakshane recently dropped his debut EP, and in the meantime thrills us with his heartwarming single "Brand New." Fusing the melodic aspects of R&B, the sonic aggressiveness of hip-hop with some electronic elements, "Brand New" hits hard while soothing the ears with its chill vibes.
Lakshane comes off the bat with catchy melodies and an interesting song premise which focuses on him providing solace to a young woman who has been deeply hurt. He details how she had to deal with past toxic relationships and what he is doing to help her get back on her feet which sounds altruistic enough for me. "Brand New" is the follow-up single to his previous releases "'Come Alive" which is the title track of his EP and "Groupie". Get it on all DSPs here.
