Birthh grounds herself in an unpredictable world in "Yello/Concrete" [Video]

Birthh is the project of Florence-based singer-songwriter Alice Bisi and has returned with her newest single “Yello/Concrete" – a euphoric bedroom pop anthem about staying grounded and being present in an unpredictable world.

The accompanying video features Birthh's frontwoman Alice guiding the listener through, what is essentially, a lyric video of rocket ships, (instrumentals), explosions and distorted colours.

On the creation of the single, BIRTHH explains: “I rolled a couple of joints and made two different beats. I panned one on the left and one on the right, and against all odds it sounded surprisingly nice and organic. When I was done I went out to buy some water and realised it was midnight. I’d worked on the song for fourteen hours non-stop. I’m not sure how that happened, but I’m glad it did.”

Following on from the release of "Supermarkets" earlier in 2019, "Yello/Concrete" sees Birthh offer a mix of lo-fi pop and elements of lyrical rhymes. The track is a fiery display of the 22-year-old's lush neo-soul vocals laces with soothing bedroom pop instrumentals. With a peaceful, slow-building anthem the track narrates the story of Bist's own personal journey with lyrics like, "Tripping over the horizons, just a matter of survival for me."

"Yello/Concrete" is the second taste of what is to come off Birthh's forthcoming sophomore album, due out for release in 2020.
