Off the heels of recent singles "Fast Forward" & "Hold On", Benji Lewis now brings us the warm & summery sounds of his new single "New Day", which also comes with a nostalgic Chris Weigen directed music video shot in Los Angeles.
Upon pressing play on "New Day", you are greeted with lighthearted pads dancing around a sultry voice and a bass line that delivers subtle doses of energy. Lewis' vocal delivery is stunning, as he conveys messages of “…looking at each day as a fresh start" and to "feeling like it was time to move on to the next place", or a "New Day". The high-spirited lyrics conjure up feelings of happiness and freedom to creates an anthem that many can relate to.
To compliment the track, Lewis teamed up with photographer/director and frequent collaborator Chris Weigen to create a music video that perfectly aligned with his vision, though vintage film shots intimate close ups. In doing so, they create a simple, yet impactful piece that helps relay the importance of just enjoying life as it goes, while letting the audience get a better insight into Lewis' life.
After continuously releasing quality singles, Lewis will now release his 'Here, Then And Now' EP in early 2020, but "New Day" is available everywhere now via AWAL, so take a minute and turn it up.
