Production and DJ duo Diana Boss have released a two-track EP entitled Hurt 2 Satisfaction. Their first release on Westwood Recordings, it proves that it's still possible to make waves in a scene that very much lets its veterans lead the way.
While it can be argued that tech house is having a moment, with anything that expands, so comes more of the same. So it's great to see a duo not from the UK (or the US), start making great music in a sound, creating a path for them to become a name of their own. The Vancouver-based duo are still starting small, but by nature, their employment of classically tech house vocal mechanisms comes through with a newer feel than the counterparts in the usual handful of countries we get this music from. It's not Dirtybird, Defected, or Solotoko, and when Diana Boss has done it justice, that feels great.
