CHYLD drops gooey future pop jam "Cookies 'N Milk"

Cuffing season is upon us, and Boston-based producer and singer-songwriter CHYLD has arrived with his mirthful new single "Cookies 'N Milk." An ode to the love-drunk bliss of the honeymoon stage, "Cookies 'N Milk" is a gooey future-pop jam swathed in a warm blanket.

With its breezy chords and playful arpeggios, the single follows the post-EDM pop formula that Louis The Child helped create, but what sets it apart is the fact that CHYLD provides his own infectious vocals. "I felt inspired to write this song in a moment of complete happiness, and I just wanted to put that feeling into a song," CHYLD said. Crooning along while dropping clever references to dough, oatmeal raisin cookies, and even Pillsbury, the singer does a fantastic job of using metaphors to moonlight as the emotions on his sleeve. "Although I’m very happy, I’m not entirely content with where I am sometimes, and I think you can feel that tension in the song. The roaring chants also make me feel so free and happy, even though they come from a little bit of pain."
