French electronic producer Madeon has released his new single "Be Fine," which will appear on his forthcoming album Good Faith.
The single arrives after Madeon recently shared the personal struggles he experienced in the months leading up to its release. "After the relief of debuting the show at Lolla I was more spent and depressed than I expected. I couldn’t feel anything at all," he wrote. It felt wrong finishing and releasing music celebrating joy when I couldn’t feel that joy at all anymore. So I decided to take time and put everything on hold for a bit."
With its gospel-inspired chants, blithe guitar plucks and breezy chord work, "Be Fine" has all the fixings of a buoyant Madeon hit. The top-line has a fittingly resilient tone, as he croons, "If I fall to the ground / I’ll come again / I’ll stay awake for a lifetime / Awake for a lifetime." It is reminiscent of Madeon's monster August 2016 collaboration with Porter Robinson, "Shelter," which has become one of the most successful tracks of both artists' careers.
Madeon is set to embark on his expansive Good Faith tour, which includes a landmark headlining set at Holy Ship! Wrecked from January 22-26. You can connect with Madeon via the links below.
