Miami Horror announces new album with glittery single "Luv Is Not Enough"

Sometimes, less is more when it comes to dance music. The group Miami Horror recently adopted this mantra after going through a period of overthinking and a general apathy toward new music. The Melbourne outfit rediscovered the magic in the simplicity of a good bass line and chords, with inspiration from songs like Calvin Harris’ “Slide.” The result is a gleaming new dance floor jam entitled “Luv Is Not Enough.” The track is the second offering of the band’s new approach, following the single “Restless” from earlier this year. “Luv Is Not Enough” also arrives along with the announcement of a North American tour starting October 31 and a new album slated for late 2020.

With an inescapably danceable tempo fit for a roller skating rink, Miami Horror delivers an unrelenting groove with pulsing drums, shimmering production, and a bubbling synth bass line. Guest singer Clear Mortifee provides some fittingly warm vocals that drift over the mix with an empowering message of self-reliance, encapsulated in the line, “I make my way home / I’m in it alone but I, I got everything I need.” All the elements fit together for a song to warm the heart and get the hips moving.
