UK artist Devon celebrates love in all its purest forms. His latest release “I DON’T WANT 2 B UR FRIEND” is bursting with tropical melodies, sunset pink hues and brazen pop stylings, an infectious ode to romantic relationships.
Mixed by Tarek Musa (Spring King, The 1975), Devon grew up in The Forest of Dean, drawing inspiration from the sprawling perennial landscape of his hometown. "The video shows an honest picture of what normal life and love looks like. As cheesy as it sounds, love doesn’t have boundaries and this video highlights the more upfront and relatable meaning of the song really well” Devon explains. “It is taking the meaning out of the personal place that I wrote it from and giving a true visual image that everyone can relate to."
His elastic pop melodies are irresistibly energetic as pixelated hearts pulsate in the background, their glittering ambience creating an intimate setting for love and romance to bloom.
“I DON’T WANT 2 B UR FRIEND” is out now on Universal Music On Demand. Devon will be playing London’s Camden Assembly on 12th October and Rough Trade Bristol on 17th October.
