O Future's latest musical offering "Spy" is a mesmerizing and intricate mélange of orchestral indie electronica. Through stunning synth work, a seductive vocal performance, and an inescapably funky bassline, the limitless extent of O Future's compositional range are on full display.
“Spy is about avoiding true intimacy. A Slinky thriller movie. Living life like someone is watching you, and that someone is you. Like the line in the song ‘ I’m not here, I'm just spying,'. Essentially you are a secret agent in your own life. Looking but not feeling, kissing with your eyes open.” – Katherine Mills Rymer
Comprised of Katherine Mills Rymer and Jens Bjornkjaer, "Spy" is an enveloping blend of minimal and ambient electronic production with an ominous electro-pop chorus. It's a truly enveloping soundscape with ominous extraterrestrial samples and mesmerizing vocal performance. This latest single is taken from the group's forthcoming full-length album Voyeur, expected out November 2019. This latest project will also feature guest appearances from Sune Rose Wagner of The Ravonettes, Matt Popieluch of Big Search and percussion work by Trentemoller drummer Jakob Hoyer.
Simultaneously, O Future are also actively working on scoring Andrew Van Baal's forthcoming documentary Ambrosia, creating an algorithmic opera with the graphic design team SULSOLSAL and a violin concerto with The Concert Master of the Royal Danish Opera.
